REPORTS

Second Quarter and Convention update report

Once spring finally got here the riding was good, except for the steady rain at times early then summer brought a heat wave of 6 days of 90 degree heat, guess that's why the northeast is so fun to be in . The Northeast Region has been growing and with the assistance of Mass State Rep Steve Mickle some of the chapters in areas have been saved in Massachusetts.  Most states have seen at least one new chapter application with some actually getting a new chapter.  The proposed addition of the piece of steel from the " Twin Towers" will be a great boost for our own memorial in Boylston, Mass. The main buzz is the 2010 convention in Grand Island, NY on August 18-22, 2010.  At this time we have 270 + people registered and all the main ingredients have been finalized. Hopefully, I will see you there and if not, have a safe and joyful riding season.

MESSAGES

4/10/2010

Thank God winter is just about gone except for the cold temperatures.  Riding time has come to some of us who took advantage of a few of the nice and some not so nice days to ride.  The Early Registrants have won some free rooms and the convention is proceeding smoothly and will be ready for the fun to begin in August. Mail in registration for this year’s convention will be cut off on August 1, 2010.  This will give the committee time to give the hotel and other events a count to insure every event will flow smooth.  We already have 160 members pre-registered and more coming in the mail every week, I hope we could hit 300 members which is our goal.  The 2 cruises are almost full and if you plan on taking one please register ASAP; first come, first serve.  If we have any members who are planning on flying in, please contact me so I can arrange transportation from either Niagara Falls or the Buffalo airport to the hotel.

More Information coming,

I would like to thank everyone who elected me the Eastern Regional Director at this past convention in Florida.  Riding time in the north is coming to an end and it is time for everyone to enjoy family and the holiday season. Next year’s convention is coming together very nicely and members are already sending in their registrations and I hope that everyone that has a chance attend it. If you have any ideas that you think may help "our" organization feel free to contact me. Happy Holiday season to All and hope to see you next Year.
